West Side Montessori School (WSMS) has leased a space at 212 West 95th Street (The Dahlia), according to Commercial Observer, which notes that it plans to use the 11,400 square foot space for its pre-kindergarten students. WSMS has additional nearby locations at 309 West 92nd Street (for its Multi-Age Program) and 302 West 91st Street (for its Twos Program). The school signed a 30-year lease for the space and will be the first retail tenant at the new development condo, according to Commercial Observer.
WTHN, a membership-based acupuncture studio with a new location at 69 West 71st Street (between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue), will be hosting its official grand opening celebration on Thursday, October 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is WTHN’s third location, adding to its outposts in Williamsburg and Flatiron. The grand opening party is private (you can register to attend here) and will feature food from Westville and a handful of complimentary services (ear seeding, facials, crystal healing and more). WTHN will also be hosting an open house on Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., where they’ll be offering “complimentary express acupuncture treatments, ear seeding and refreshments.” The event is open to everyone.
Signage is up at 405 Amsterdam Avenue (between 79th and 80th streets) for PHS, which a construction worker told us will be a salon. According to signage, the business was established in 2008.

We’re a bit late on this one, but Claire’s Kitchen Cafe opened at the end of August at 150 Manhattan Avenue (between 106th and 107th streets). The “Local cafe serving coffee, pastries, and Mediterranean-inspired specialties” also offers a selection of salads and sandwiches (some of which are gluten-free), and the owners tell us that once their license is in place, the space will convert into a wine bar after 5 p.m. This is Claire’s third and largest location; they can also be found on the Upper East Side and in South Harlem.
