After a year-long absence of in-person concerts, the New York Philharmonic will soon kick off its “Holidays with the NY Phil” concert series with Handel’s Messiah. And to make the series more special, this will be the first time the Philharmonic will perform at the Riverside Church since 2006.

Performances will take place on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, December 14 at 7pm
  • Wednesday, December 15 at 7pm
  • Friday, December 17 at 7pm
  • Saturday, December 18 at 7pm

Prices range from $69 to $207. Tickets can be purchased on the NY Philharmonic website.

Grammy-winning conductor and harpsichordist Jeanette Sorrell will conduct. The performances will also feature Amanda Forsythe (soprano), John Holiday (countertenor), Nicholas Phan (tenor), Kevin Deas (bass-baritone), and Apollo’s Singers.

Covid Protocols

Safety is the highest priority for the New York Philharmonic and Riverside Church. NY Phil is “committed to creating a memorable experience in a comfortable setting for every member of our audience.” Masks are required for the staff and for audience members.
