Bear Mountain Cruises

Take a cruise up the Hudson River for an alternative Oktoberfest activity! This Bavarian-themed cruise runs every weekend from September 23 to November 12. Passengers aboard the cruise enjoy panoramic views of the Upper West Side and Washington Heights as the boat travels upstream. Typical German food staples such as pork schnitzel, pretzels, and potato salad are included in the cruises’ menu. Beer specials include draft and bucket Warsteiner. Live entertainment is provided by bands Smitty’s Polka Band and Street Beat Brass Band. They’ll be playing some German tunes until the cruise stops at Bear Mountain Park. Once there, passengers exit the boat to enjoy the island’s spectacular fall foliage. There are also plenty of hiking and biking trails available as well as other outdoor activities. This cruise is run by Circle Line and lasts for about two hours.
