New to the Upper West Side, with its Grand Opening scheduled on Saturday July 28 10:30-4:30*, the spacious, attractively set-up Paper Source is a one-stop shop for the best greeting cards in the hood (hip and attractive), gift wrap/ribbon/boxes and single sheet specialty papers, stationary, announcements, and invitations (custom and “off the rack”), party supplies, calendars, notebooks, office organization, stamps, and a wide variety of gifts including such timely tongue-in-cheek items as the book “Goodnight iPad” and a “Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake Journal.”
Not content to simply sit there looking pretty and providing helpful service, however, the store also offers public and private workshops/parties for both crafty adults and imaginative kids.
Booked at least a week in advance with a 50% deposit, groups of up to 25 can be accommodated in the open, adjacent party room. There’s a $120.00 minimum for hosting a private event. (Re children’s gatherings-1 adult is required for every 3 kids under the age of 8 and 1 adult for kids 9 and up.) Parties are generally 1 ½ to 2 hours long depending on what is being made and start at $25.00 per person, depending on the cost of materials which range from attractive to elaborate. Customarily held during store hours, an event can also be scheduled after hours two or more weeks in advance at additional cost. Refreshments may be brought in. Associates are ready to suggest, explain and adapt.

Introduces participants to options for creating and decorating a made-to-order affair. All work-shoppers are gifted a Wedding Event Packet of swatches, timelines, and tips. Includes a firsthand look at the 2-12 Invitation Collection.
