Bakeries seem to be popping up on the Upper West Side by the bunch recently, and the newest addition is Patis Bakery. The Kosher bakery has opened in the lobby of the Arthouse Hotel at 2178 Broadway (77th Street).
The bakery’s main location is in Lyndhurt, New Jersey, and their new spot is in the style of a “Mini Cafe”.
According to Patis Bakery’s Chef Moses Wendel, the bakery attempts to include locally sourced product whenever possible.
On display you’ll find plenty of sweets including danishes, croissants, buns, turnovers and cookies.
Savory treats include focaccia, tomato and mushroom pizzettes, cheese twists and more.
Plus plenty of baguettes!
The space is well-lit and black leather chairs are set up at the counter. Patis Bakery is the second Kosher bakery to open recently on the UWS, following Modern Bread and Bagel.
The Arthouse Hotel
The newly branded UWS hotel has several dining options and hosts various creative pop-ups.
Onsite food + drink options currently include the Arthouse Wine Bar, Serafina, and Redfarm.
Their seasonal flower market with cocktails will run through August. They’ll also be hosting live comedy, music and art. Check out their Facebook page for more upcoming events.
