NYPD officials have announced the identity of the individual involved in the Tuesday morning shooting near Martin Luther King High School.
East Harlem resident Cheick Coulibaly, 19, has been charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal use of a firearm, and criminal possession of a weapon.
As reported by the New York Post, it’s believed that shootings on 129th and Madison Avenue and 105th and Park Avenue which occurred later on Tuesday may have been connected.
“Right now we’re proceeding as if they’re all connected,” said Chief of Patrol John Chell during a press conference. “Why do I say that? The proximity, geography, around schools, age of our victims, and now we can confirm at least one incident – this incident [at 129th and Madison] is gang-motivated.”

This man was arrested in 2019 for armed robbery and he was out on $50,000 bail. Who on earth is foolish enough to post 50K bail for a kid who tehn goes on to have 2 buest in 2023 for narcotics transactions?
Hopefully the 2019 case and this are seen by a judge as sufficient reason to keep him locked up for as long as the law allows. Because, guess what this guy is going to do when he gets out?
