The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual for committing a robbery on the Upper West Side earlier this month.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, May 5 at approximately 8:18pm, an unknown male individual entered a building near 83rd and Columbus Avenue, brandished a firearm, and demanded a 55-year-old male’s wallet and bag.
The suspect fled towards Columbus Avenue with the victim’s two iPads and credit cards, police tell ILTUWS.
There were no injuries reported during this incident.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website or by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips on Twitter. All calls are strictly confidential and a reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for any tips which lead to an arrest.
I think I saw a kid wearing a doo-rag and a hoodie on that very same night. I wonder if it was him? I sure could use that $3,500.00!
