Upper West Side Restaurants Quickly Pivot to Promote Delivery and Take-Out: THEY NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Last modified on February 16th, 2023

It was announced on Sunday evening that Mayor de Blasio would be signing an Executive Order to limit all NYC restaurants to delivery and take-out services.

The purpose of this post is to get you to continue supporting Upper West Side restaurants during this difficult time!

We’ve seen way too many restaurant closings due to the retail crisis and we can’t afford to see any more of our favorite places go out of business!

We’ve seen a lot of our restaurants begin to promote their delivery and take-out services, and we’re helping them out by sharing their Instagram posts. Quite a few places are offering discounts. Others are making beers and cocktails available for take-out and delivery!

March 15, 2020 Dear friends and neighbors, At Fred’s, we usually encourage everyone to “Come! Sit! Stay!”, but during this uncertain time, we’re asking you to “Stay Home! Order! Ask Us To Deliver!” (and, of course, wash your paws). We know we are all in an incredibly challenging time and over the past 23 years we’ve been through many challenging events together. Our Fred’s family is here for you and yours. While this is a very difficult decision for us to make, our dining room and bar will be closing effective Monday March 16th, however we’ll remain open for pick-up and delivery with new operating hours from 12pm-10pm daily. We will reassess weekly, and stay in touch regularly with updates. But, more than that, if you need anything…please know that we are here for you. If you need a friend to talk to, please call. If you can’t leave your apartment to run an errand, please let us know. And, if you are hungry, you know we’ve got you covered. You can order using our website, and though all your favorite apps; GrubHub, Cavier, Seamless, Uber Eats, and Postmates. Our phone number is (212) 579-3076. You’ve always been here for us and we’ll always be here for you. We will all get through this…together. With love and thanks, David & Kim #fredsnyc #neighbors #23years #upperwestside #nyc #delivery #takeout #pickup #newyorkstaterestaurantassociation #weareinthistogether

As you may all know, this morning the @nycmayorsoffice & @nycmayor signed an executive order effective Tomorrow (Tuesday, March 17th) at 9:00AM that restaurants and bars must close, permitting take-out and delivery food options only. While the news is shocking, we support it. We need to get this situation under control as soon as possible & drastic times call for drastic measures. – Now more than ever we are counting on our #community to #support local small businesses in any way possible. So please, keep ordering #delivery & take-out. Purchase a gift card where possible – no matter the amount, it goes a long way. Whatever it takes. ?- For our beloved 5 Napkin Burger fans, we want to #thankyou for your continued support even during the most trying of times. ?Use code: THANKU15 for 15% off all #delivery and #takeout orders placed through our website (link in bio).

Posted @withregram • @brooklynfoodsnob Support! Support! Support! Support your local small businesses. Chain stores are multi million dollar corps – they’re not living on week by week wages. Mom & pop stores need us more than anything right now especially your local Chinese stores. The amount of racism & xenophobia is absolutely unreal. Don’t be those people. The noods at @tridimwest and @tridimshanghai will make you forget the cities basically a ghost town. . . . . . #Noodles #LiftingNoodles #NoodleLover #Meat #StirFry #Chinese #ChineseFood #ChineseCuisine #Covid19 #NYCEats #NYCFat #FoodILYSM #TopCityBites #TasteThisNext #FoodSpotting #CameraEatsFirst #CarbLoading #CheatDay #WeekendVibes #FeedYourSoull #BeautifulCuisines #GetInMyBelly #ZagatNYC #FoodPornShare #Thrillist #NYC #Quarantine #Eeeeeats #TriDimWest
