Signage Up: Zelma’s Caffe

Signage is up for Zelma’s Caffe at 2661 Broadway, between 101st and 102nd streets (formerly a Dunkin’ Donuts).

Thanks to @thejoedshow for the tip and photo:

Zelma's Caffe

The owner tells us that Zelma is her mom’s name. “My parents are from Central America, Nicaragua. Drinking coffee is part of our tradition. Our love for coffee is inviting clients to share a cup of a nice latte or favorite drink.”

We were also told that Zelma’s will offer wifi, outdoor seating, “modern art and fresh baked goods.”

According to Traded NY, the asking price for the 650 square foot space was $180 per foot (per year), which would be $117,000 per year or $9,750 per month (though we’re not sure if that’s the price Zelma’s ended up agreeing to).

We’ll provide more info once we have an update.
