A popular Soho pizza place, Song’ E Napule, has expanded to the Upper West Side with a new location at 464 Amsterdam Avenue, between 82nd and 83rd Streets. The last tenant to occupy this space was Mokum, which opened in late 2018 and closed in August 2020.

Song’ E Napule’s chef is Ciro Iovine, who has been a pizza chef since he was 13 years old. Ciro’s wife, Austria Maldonado, is the CEO. The husband and wife co-owners opened their restaurant at 164 West Houston Street in 2015.

“From traditional brick oven pizzas to homemade gnocchi to hearty pastas, every dish is made with care for our customers to savor,” reads the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Song’ E Napule has become a popular NYC destination for its Neapolitan pizza; the menu states that their “pizzas [are] always are made with fresh products and imported from Italy.”
