Soul on Ice: Winter Skating Party is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Figure Skating in Harlem Parents Association. It draws over 2,000 families and members of the community at large. Everyone is always more than happy to come together for a day of Central Park ice skating and fun outdoors. Read on to learn more about this wonderful event!
There’ll be plenty of food and drinks going around at this year’s Soul on Ice. A raffle will also be offering some pretty great and special prizes to the lucky ticket winners. DJ WHUTEVER of Power 105.1 fame will also be playing music live directly from Lasker Rink. And, of course, the students from Figure Skating in Harlem will be displaying their dazzling ice skating routines.
This party gives students the perfect opportunity to showcase the skills they’ve learned throughout the year. They also get to perform in front of a large audience in Central Park which is a treat in and of itself.
Location
In order to get to Lasker Rink, follow Malcolm X Boulevard and enter the park at 110th Central Park N. and Lenox Ave. The event is proudly sponsored by Nielsen, Con-Edison, and local family businesses. The price of admission is of $15 per person which also includes an ice skate rental.
