The concerts, which are completely free, will kick off on Wednesday, June 19 and run through September 18 – last year, the series only ran through August – with each performance taking place at Dante Park at 63rd and Broadway, right across the street from Lincoln Center’s main campus.

All shows are scheduled on Wednesdays from noon–1:30 p.m. In the event of rain, concerts are scheduled to be held on Friday immediately following each Wednesday performance.

The BID will also be partnering with local eateries to provide food to concertgoers.

Le Botaniste, a plant based organic food and wine bar on 67th and Columbus, will be present on opening day, July 10, July 31, August 21 and September 11. Café Paradiso, the Italian American restaurant by The Fireman Hospitality Group (Cafe Fiorello, Trattoria Dell’Arte, Redeye Grill, Brooklyn Diner, Brooklyn Delicatessen, Bond 45) which replaced Indie Food & Wine at 144 West 65th Street last year, will “offer some light fare for nominal cost” on July 17 and July 24.

There are fourteen performances in total, with a diverse lineup that showcases a blend of jazz styles ranging from classic bebop to smooth jazz and contemporary interpretations. The series features accomplished musicians like Dave Stryker, Shirley Crabbe and Bill Ware, with performances including a mix of instrumental and vocal jazz and elements of Latin, Afro-Cuban and more. The full lineup can be seen here.

“The Lincoln Square neighborhood is full of cultural pizzazz, new eateries and new businesses,”said Monica Blum, President of the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District. “…We hope that locals, and visitors alike will enjoy our expanded summer concert series featuring talented jazz musicians and some tasty treats at Dante Park well beyond Labor Day. Come and enjoy the best New York City has to offer right here in Lincoln Square.”
