Takeda, a new sushi restaurant, had its grand opening on Friday, November 29th. It’s located at 566 Amsterdam Ave, between 87th and 88th Streets, which was formerly occupied by Mimi, a Japanese restaurant owned by the same people.
Takeda is serving only two omakase sushi courses:
- An 11 piece sushi platter with one hand roll for $85
- A 14 piece sushi platter with one hand roll for $105
The style is Edomae sushi, with is a simple and traditional style. As the chef prepares everything himself, they have a maximum of 8 guests at a time.
Takeda is open Monday to Saturday from 5:30pm to 10:30pm, with reservation times of 6pm, 7:30pm and 9pm. They are closed on Sundays.
