Taste of the Upper West Side, the Columbus Avenue Business Improvement District’s annual fundraiser, is expanding its mixology section to include both nights of the event. The exclusive cocktail platform, which premiered last year, is back by popular demand with more specially curated offerings from double the number of destinations, spanning the Upper West Side to Harlem.
Among the bars and restaurants making their TasteUWS mixology debuts will be: 67 Orange Street with the “Kentucky Blossom;” Tiki Chick with the “Peg Leg Punch;” and Jake’s Dilemma and Gin Mill with “Hudson Highwater.” The ever-popular Da Capo is returning with “Espresso Yourself” and “The Samurai.” Prohibition is introducing a new entry this year with “Packing Heat,” and Maison Pickle will present “Jacob’s Collins.” Also joining the party with soon-to-be-announced offerings are Manhattan Cricket Club and Nobody Told Me Cocktail Club.
In addition to the nine bars and restaurants showcasing intoxicating creativity, sponsors such as Tito’s Handmade Vodka and White Claw Hard Seltzer will present their own signature selections. For wine and beer lovers, there will be more than 20 distinct wines (including an exciting selection of sparkling wines) from Taub Family Companies, and a host of refreshing beers that include Asahi, Corona Premier, Corona Refresca, Heineken, Strongbow, and Tiger.
