Tear of the Cloud at Riverside Park South

Last modified on November 28th, 2019

A free light show called Tear of the Cloud will be displayed at Riverside Park South until the end of October. It looks pretty dark.

Tony Oursler is the creator of this light show, which will display five digital projections onto the 69th Street Transfer Bridge Gantry and its surroundings.

The images will be combined with voices of performers portraying a range of historical figures, including the Hudson River School painters, Pearl White and Mary Rogers.

The project also explores topics including artificial intelligence, social media bots and PCB contamination.
