I had the recent pleasure of going to The Art Studio NY for one of their signature “painting parties”, offered Tuesdays and Sundays, and accommodated with free wine.
The Art Studio NY was founded by artist Rebecca Schweiger who has exhibited her work around the world. Their focus is to give people an outlet for authentic self-expression and creativity. A haven to relax and feel inspired. As an overworked business person, I had a lot of fun not only getting in touch with my creative side, but also sitting still (and focusing on one thing) for more than twenty minutes. This is something I don’t do enough, and for you fellow multi-taskers, I highly suggest checking out this boutique art school located in the heart of the Upper West Side.
Classes are offered for all ages and levels.
The Art Studio NY hosts birthday parties, corporate events, and someone recently proposed during a private art lesson. It wasn’t me, because clearly I don’t need private lessons (that’s my Picasso to the right).
They offer free trial art classes for kids throughout the year. Probably a wise activity to supplement your kids karate matches and soccer games! Additional classes offered include mixed-media, oil painting, watercolor, figure drawing, drawing in Central Park and at the Met.
