Landmark West! has two upcoming Central Park walks which highlight the stunning architecture throughout our backyard garden. Read more and get yourself some tickets (they will sell out quickly)!
Vaux Arches of Central Park
Tuesday, August 20th from 6:30-7:45pm
This tour focuses the southwestern section of the park, where the Dalehead, Pine Bank, Diprock, Dripway, and Playmates arches can be found. The walk will be guided by Stefan Yarabek of the Calvert Vaux Preservation Alliance. Each of Calvin Vaux’s arches present completely different style and material, and all are completely awe-inspiring.
The Secret Designer of Central Park Walking Tour
Tuesday, August 27th from 6:30-7:45pm
This walk pays homage to British-born designer Jacob Wrey Mould, whose imprint can be found at Bethesda Arcade, Belvedere Castle, the Ladies Pavilion, the Victorian Gothic Central Park Stables, and various arches and bridges. The walk will take you from Tavern on the Green to Mineral Springs, the Mall and Bethesda Terrace. The tour will be led by Beth Goffe.
