Upper West Side Celebrity Real Estate News

Last modified on December 26th, 2018

Is there a better distraction from the work day than reading about celebrities that live in NYC and their ridiculous apartments?  Nope! Here’s some recent news about filthy rich famous people and their ridiculous Upper West Side apartments!

Sting sells 15 Central Park West pad

Sting’s penthouse duplex at 15 Central Park West is now in contract for about $50 million, about double what they paid for the apartment close to ten years ago.

The apartment measures about 5,500 square feet, selling for an approximate $10,000+ per foot. Monthly taxes are $6,763 with common charges of $10,842.

It was on the market for just 132 days, less time than it takes some human-priced units to sell.

Sting and wife Trudie Styler are apparently packing their things to move into 220 Central Park South in the near future.

Buyer Found for Bob Weinstein’s Townhouse

The brother of the disgraced Harvey Weinstein apparently owned a brownstone on the Upper West Side.

With an asking price of $17,900,000, the townhouse at 39 West 70th Street has recently entered into a contract.

The townhouse had been on the market since February.

Judy Garland’s Dakota Apartment

The Dakota apartment (allegedly) once owned by Judy Garland has recently entered contract for $10 million.

Records of her date and duration of residency are scarce, but it is believed to have once been the late star’s home.

The nine-room apartment has also been the home to several other celebrities, but none nearly as huge as Garland.
