More Kosher Closings

Last modified on January 22nd, 2020

It hasn’t been a good month for Kosher restaurants. In just the last week, Coffeeberry closed, and we found out that Seasons Kosher will be closing by the end of December. Now, we have more sad news, with two more Upper West Side Kosher closings to report.

First, Chocolate Works will be closing by the end of the month. The chocolatier has had their location at 641 Amsterdam Avenue, between 91st and 92nd Streets, since early 2012.

Second, Big Bang Burger will be closing by the end of next week, maybe sooner. The Kosher burger restaurant had opened at 426 Amsterdam, between 80th and 81st Streets, in late 2017 – just barely over a year ago.

The turnover of Upper West Side restaurants has been insane this year.

I Love The Upper West Side has a recent sponsor whose mission is to help restaurant owners keep more of their profits.

9 Fold has created an easy online ordering system for restaurants to offer direct orders to their customers. By doing this, owners will be able to avoid huge fees that companies like Seamless charge. And they’ve got quite a few Kosher restaurants as clients.  The article we wrote about them includes a list of UWS restaurants you can order from directly.
