That is a relief, well done Police. Now, what about who is destroying car windows?
He slashed my tire in front of 255 W. 95 St. March 6th. I’ve been checking my car everyday since. So glad he was caugh.
Without information about how he was identified, I withhold any glee. A possibly Brown/Black man with a non-WASP name seems like an apt target to blame. Everyone is aware, I assume, of what’s trickling down from the trump administration straight to eric adams, right? I’m not saying he’s not the person who slashed tires, but, please, withhold judgement until the proof is provided.
Irene – what a dumb thing to say. You are everything that’s what wrong with the UWS and the country in general. How racist can YOU be? How did your mind even go there? And how demeaning can you be to the NYPD? I am so sick of this nonsense that every time someone disagrees with something its all Trumps fault. You and your silly comments disgust me.
What a wild comment. Just like people on the far right, people on the far left like yourself are part of the problem. First off you assume he’s possibly black/brown because of his name. You don’t know that. Second there may be some video footage of him doing some of these acts. I wonder if your perspective would change if you were ever the unfortunate victim of a crime.
AS already noted, this comment is uniquely idiotic.
“Withhold judgment”?! We’re not judges, and not even jury, so no idea what/who you’re appealing to. What judgment do you think we’re passing by sitting in front of our screens?
Most people skip over the name and couldn’t care less what it is. And most of us don’t appeal in internet forums, we trust the judicial system, despite all its faults, will do its work. And yet, YOU sit around, making judgements about what his name implies about him.
“Until proof is provided”?! Since when and in what capacity are you owed the proof involved in every single case / arrest? When did you start requesting it? Are you on the jury? Again, how about YOU withhold opinion until you know anything of substance.
Seconded.
Well done, police!!! Let’s hope it’s an end to the protracted vandalism & properly damage!!!
JP, David & Geoff – all Irene is saying is that she hopes there is no rush to judgment & let’s beware of possibility scapegoating brown people “with no fixed address.” And it’s a safe bet that a “Jesus Navarro” is Hispanic. Jeesh.
Fry him! But really, I just want the $80 I paid for a new used tire and for him to get the help he needs, with something punitive to deter others in the future. But seriously, if he is convicted of pleas can we sue him for the damages? Or does the city make some money avilible to compensate victims? Anyone know?
Where’s his mugshot? He should be identified so we can be on the lookout for him when he comes around to do more damage.
