Soha Gourmet Marketplace has opened at 301 West 96th Street on West End Avenue. Thanks to @augiehaas (who tells us they make a solid breakfast sandwich) for the tip and photos!
“A new bodega is about as rare a sighting as a baby pigeon,” writes one Yelp reviewer who gave the new spot a 5-star score “for simply being the only ‘bodega’ that’s not 2 avenues & 3 blocks further” — though other early patrons praise Soha’s juices, sandwiches, salad bar and grocery selections.
The store also offers burgers, paninis, wraps, quesadillas, all kinds of breakfast platters, cakes, fresh produce, playing cards, iPhone chargers …
Folks have also complimented the cleanliness and organization of the space, as well as the friendly owners. And it’s open 24 hours a day!
Soha Gourmet Marketplace is also offering deliveries – through Seamless, Uber Eats and directly (which is free for orders of $6 or more). The store can be reached at 212.390.9575.
Is it called Soha like “South Harlem” ? That’s a stretch.
Or someone’s name perhaps?
Wish they’d gotten the name of the community – Bloomingdale – right…..
