Manhattan D.A. Bragg has announced that 43-year-old Johnette Booker has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison for “assaulting and causing the death of her 15-year-old cousin in June 2021.”
Booker was found guilty last month, with charges including First Degree Manslaughter and Gang Assault.

“Johnette Booker stands convicted of killing her younger, vulnerable cousin, through her vicious and cruel behavior,” said District Attorney Bragg. “For over a month, Booker knowingly put Jallen McConnie through an excruciating level of abuse and trauma, up until the final moments of his life. Booker will serve a significant prison term for this utterly horrific conduct and my thoughts remain with Mr. McConnie’s loved ones, who continue to grieve this devastating loss.”
Jallen McConnien was a special needs 15-year-old who stayed at Booker’s Upper West Side apartment during the summer of 2021. He arrived in late May and, following a month-long period of torment and abuse, was pronounced dead on June 28.

Good. Twenty years. And the innocent person this filth tortured and killed didn’t even get to see 16 years. I’m a big fan of an eye for an eye, and wish the same unspeakable horrors could be inflicted on this worthless waste of flesh and breath.
