Best Lincoln Center Bars

Last modified on October 26th, 2018

In a recent post we covered the best restaurants near Lincoln Center, so I thought it would make sense to cover the best Lincoln Center bars, too.

Vanguard Wine Bar

189 Amsterdam Ave

A great singles bar (for some) with plenty of vino to choose from. Cozy atmosphere with American and French small plates.

Empire Hotel Lobby Bar

44 West 63rd Street

Plush seats, majestic curtains, towering ceilings and a winding stairwell. Up top is one of the best rooftop bars in NYC, too.

Center Bar

10 Columbus Circle

Fancy cocktail lounge and wine bar in the Time Warner Center. Fifty wine bottles on their menu and great small plates, too. But the main reason to head here is the beautiful interior.

Shalel Lounge

65 West 70th Street

Shalel Lounge is a romantic, basement-level, dimly-lit NYC date spot (either an aggressive first date or a hopeful second) with a heavily Moroccan menu, scattered rose petals and a hard-to-find entrance (if you haven’t been there, and if you’re also a moron like me).

Library Bar at Hudson

358 West 58th Street

Located in the Hudson Hotel, Library Bar actually has a library. Though I wouldn’t recommend reading at this bar, or any other. You’ll also get to enjoy a roaring fireplace, plush chairs and couches and a billiards table.

The Office NYC

80 Columbus Circle

Located next to the Aviary at the Mandarin Oriental, The Office NYC is ideal for spirits lovers and connoisseurs. Especially those who can’t make up their minds, as their “Dealer’s Choice” offering allows you to provide parameters to the barkeep who will then create your custom-tailored cocktail.

On Tap

10 Columbus Circle

On Tap is located at the Columbus Circle Whole Foods in the Time Warner Center. What stands out the most about this place is the massive beer selection. Yes, this stands out more than the fact that it’s located in a Whole Foods.
