This year, the annual Central Park Holiday Lighting will have to be enjoyed from a distance.
The event will take place at The Harlem Meer as usual, and can be live-streamed on the Conservancy’s Facebook page on December 3 at 5:15pm.
The virtual reimagining of the event will lots of caroling and a countdown to the lighting with a flotilla of trees floating in the Meer. They’ll also be sharing a time-lapse video of an ice carving!
The event is being hosted by the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy, and will mark the 24th anniversary of the lighting.
