Founded in 2013, the company’s first release were eco-friendly swim trunks, according to a GQ feature from that year.
Faherty’s website features some frequently used buzzwords like “sustainable” and “organic,” which they use to describe the materials in their product line (in addition to “ethically-sourced cashmere, recycled polyester, linen, and hemp”). The product line includes items for men, women and kids, as well as accessories.
The company was founded by Mike and Alex Faherty and Kerry Docherty, and is self-described as a “family-run lifestyle and apparel brand fueled by purpose and optimism.”
Faherty has downtown locations at Prince and Bleecker Street, in addition to a store in Hudson Yards and two in Long Island. They can also be found in California, Florida, Massachussets, Montana, Wyoming, New Jersey and DC.
