Joe Coffee has just opened its third storefront in the neighborhood.
The popular New York City coffee chain can now be found at 2058 Broadway between 70th and 71st streets, which until recently was home to a Blue Marble Ice Cream.

Joe Coffee’s other two neighborhood outposts are on Columbus Avenue (85th and 68th streets). A location at 72nd and Amsterdam closed around the beginning of 2022.

The new spot is open daily from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. and is serving a new signature brown sugar shakerato and a black cherry espresso soda. More info about those here.
Jonathan Rubinstein founded the company in 2003, and recently scored a Forbes feature for the company’s two decades in business. The first location was in Greenwich Village, and today there are over twenty shops throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Westchester.
One mediocre overpriced yuppie chain replacing another. That’s the UWS of today. Blah.
P.S. One of the construction guys just told me that all the activity in the long vacant storefront at 97th and Broadway is going to be a Chipotle. Not that the site ever housed an independent place, but honestly Chipotle? Can’t we do better than that? Yuck.
