Man Randomly Punched in Ear

The NYPD is asking the public to help them locate a suspect wanted for committing an assault on Friday, September 9 at about 11:10 a.m.

The incident took place on West 65th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.

When a 27-year-old male was walking in front of 13 West 65th Street, NYPD sources say an unknown individual approached him and, without provocation, “punched him with a closed fist multiple times in the right ear.”

The “suspect then fled on foot to parts unknown,” police say.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai West in stable condition with multiple facial fractures.

The suspect is described as a 30-something male with “medium skin complexion, [a] medium build, black hair, facial hair” and last seen wearing a white t-shirt, khaki pants and black sneakers.
