Pastrami Queen will be opening at 138 West 72nd Street, a sign on the window reads. This was formerly home to Fine & Schapiro, which closed for good earlier this year.
The kosher deli has been operating since 1956, starting out in Queens. They’re currently located on the Upper East Side at 1125 Lexington Ave, between 78th and 79th Streets.
Known for their overstuffed sandwiches with 80z portions of pastrami, as well as corned beef, hard salami, smoked turkey and more, Pastrami Queen also offers deli meats by the pound, soups including matzoh ball, chicken noodle and kreplach, a popular potato knish, kugel, franks in a blanket and more.
