Two young men are wanted for committing three robberies within about 24 hours. Police are hoping the general public can help them identify and locate the male suspects.

The first incident took place on Monday, June 26 at about 4:15 p.m. A 56-year-old woman was riding a bicycle on Central Park West near West 63rd Street when she was approached by the individuals on a two-wheeled scooter. The suspects stole the bike’s front basket which had her wallet in it. They fled down West 65th Street. The victim was uninjured in this incident.
About fifteen minutes later, the two men approached a 65-year-old woman walking on West 66th Street and Riverside Boulevard. They snatched her wallet and phone before fleeing. There were no injuries during this robbery either.
The next day, again at about 4:15 p.m., the suspects approached a 42-year-old woman walking near 88th and West End Avenue. They punched her in the face and forcibly removed her phone before scootering off. The victim refused medical attention.
Anyone with relevant information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips on Twitter.
Hard prison time for each of these two ass clowns:
20 years per victim, so 60 years with no parole a piece while breaking rocks all day should serve as a nice incentive to get a f**kin job and not be a douchebag.
Introducing Draconian penalties will be the only way the current crime rate in this city will be reduced.
100%!
Nothing will happen to them & they know that. Just ask Andrea Stewart Cousins, Carl Heastie, Alvin Bragg & Kathy Hochul. They support criminals.
?
Curious why we’re only hearing about this now when the crimes took place a full month ago?
There are numerous crimes committed every day on every block in every neighborhood. I think there’s a limit of how many crimes you can post per day. There has to be some good news posted.
I like good news too, but if there are photos of people actively mugging my neighbors I would like to see them while it is still an active threat, not a full month later.
I’d like to see them try robbing a 35 year-old man, and see if it yields the same result.
They should force them to get a job and go straight home for 2 years. These are misguided people who at times like to take advantage of nice people. We need to get at why? But, stop allowing no punishment for these type of crimes. The answer is something that that takes time and resources, that no one wants to spend. If you usually see people close to you doing these type of dirty deeds then that person is usually going to follow that example. It’s no excuse though. There is public housing because of people displaced after San Juan Hill was destroyed. We can all coexist nicely if there is no racism and people raise their children with morals.
I won’t be surprised if the victims blame themselves for being white.
???
Please try to think before posting a dumbass, racially ignorant comment. I realize I’m asking a lot, but perhaps you need to table your sarcasm and focus on being a better human.
It would be nice if our neighborhood online publication would follow this case with updates, so that we get information beyond what was done and who was hurt. Let’s see if District Attorney Bragg actually prosecutes the case, if the prosecutor asks for and the Court directs that they be held on bail or released on their parents’ cognizance, if the motor scooter is confiscated, if they have licenses to drive such a vehicle, if they are offered a plea bargain for a lesser charge, if they are convicted, and if there is any punishment actually imposed. Regardless of your view as to what should be done on any of these points, it would be useful to have this information so that the next time we have the opportunity to select our state and city leaders, including legislators, judges and the district attorney, that we can choose people who we think will do a proper job and represent our interests and have good judgment. We need to vote for people, not parties, since there are gems and duds in both parties.
Remind me again of why the NYPD thinks we don’t need guns. All the “proper cause” we should need is to mention incidents like these. If the NYPD/Bragg isn’t going to do anything about crimes like these then we deserve to be able to defend ourselves.0
Because we don’t need stray bullets flying on the street. Just look at the NYPD’s bad record in that regard.
Good security camera images (see above) will help catch these a’holes.
And perhaps other clowns with learn of such cameras.
It’s the getaway scooter that the NYPD really needs to police, but they won’t/don’t.
This country has more gun violence than anywhere else in the world so your solution is more guns? If you want the Wild West, move to Texas. The majority of New Yorkers are not in favor of arming everyone.
Their lives don’t matter and every sign saying it does should be taken down (especially by the courthouses in Manhattan). Perfect pictures – even better than their mug shots will be. Find them and forget a trial – just lock them up and throw the key down into the NYC sewer system.
Just… wow.
Ditto on “just wow”
The stench of uneducated, white privilege.
This is what happens when public housing exists in the neighborhood.
Wow.
People are angry, Virginia. Perhaps if you were too, you wouldn’t have voted these people in.
Not sure if you’ve ever been mugged or assaulted before. It’s awful.
You are making a whole lot of incorrect assumptions about me. I won’t bother to delineate and counter them, since I can see where you’ve placed me in your worldview and whatever I say you will just fit within those parameters. No room for logic, nuance.
But people’s anger and fears do not justify their hateful, disgusting, ignorant, and misinformed attitudes voiced here. I realize that online anonymity affords people a chance to voice their hatred and prejudices in the most vile language printable – maybe that makes them feel better, and sells papers, but it’s really sad to see.
Sometimes truth hurts. They are not living in a $4k/mo apartment for a reason. These people don’t care about anyone and have no desire to be functioning members of society. It’s their choice. We feed them; we house them; but they still hate us. We can’t have an open door policy for criminals, thanks to Brag.
With you, Virginia. Well said.
Anyone (like Mike) who says “these people” has lost any chance of participating in a solution-oriented dialogue because RACIST.
That you connect the phrase “these people” with people other races is Exhibit A of your racism.
Was there no public housing on the UWS in 2006, ’14, etc?
This is what happens when the criminals know that they can escape quickly on an illegal motorcycle and there’s no possibility that the NYPD will stop them for breaking a traffic law, and thereby aid in their arrest for these crimes.
