Upper West Siders Give Gift Bags to MTA Workers

On Christmas Day, Upper West Sider Mike Matthews and his girlfriend Amy handed out 25 “zebra bags” filled with gifts to MTA workers on the platforms of the 110th and 96th Street stations on Broadway (and to some bus drivers as well).

The zebra stripes represent the black and white striped boards located in every subway station. Train conductors are required to point to them to prove they’re paying attention …

Thanks to these very thoughtful Upper West Siders – and to the MTA employees working through this very difficult year!
